Meet Aadar Jain, the newest kid from the Great Kapoor Khandaan to join Bollywood. He’s the younger son of Manoj Jain (an Investment banker) and Reema Kapoor ( who’s the youngest daughter of the great Raj Kapoor and sister of Randhir, Rajiv and Rishi Kapoor). Yes, that’s makes him the cousin of Karishma, Kareena and Ranbir Kapoor. His elder brother Armaan Jain is also an Actor.
Needless to say, with that kind of an impressive lineage, it was only a matter of time before he became an Actor but not before he went through the New York Film Academy and the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Academy, California. Before his acting debut, he worked as an Assistant Director in Karan Johar’s 2016 release – ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. His debut film came after rigorous auditions by the director, Habib Faisal, which lasted over a month.
in 2017, his debut film Qaidi Band released and a Star was born…
I shot some fun and some serious questions at him, and like a true sportsman he fielded them all with elan….
Me : Hi Aadar, Thank you so much for sparing the time to speak with me. So, what’s keeping you busy during these lockdown days?
AJ – Hey Anirudh of course anytime.. I must admit that the lockdown has been hard for everyone, we’re all going through a difficult time but the only silver lining has been that I’ve been spending so much time at home with my family, which is really nice especially since we all have hectic schedules. I’ve also been cooking, baking, playing the drums, working out and watching lots of movies and shows..
Me : If you hadn’t been an actor, what would you be?
AJ : Football player
Me : Hey! Football’s my second favorite game too!! How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
AJ : Warm, loving, energetic, happy & sensitive.
Me : Ok… well, in life, what makes you smile and what scares you the most?
AJ : Family, friends, films, food and what scares me is losing them all.
Me : Very true… Now a fun one ! If I gave you an elephant, where would you hide it?
AJ : In the room?☺☺
Me : If you were an Ice-Cream flavor, which one would you be?
AJ : I guess a hazelnut coffee..
Me : My Favorite too!! If you ever got stranded on a remote island, and you could choose 5 items to have with you, which ones would they be?
AJ : Football, phone, boat, food and great company
Me : Hmmm… That great company part needs looking into…
Now on a serious note, there’s a lot of bullying that happens in schools these days, what would you advise a kid from your family if he/she were subjected to bullying?
AJ : Fortunately today’s youth have spearheaded many campaigns both on and offline to make kids who are bullied feel inclusive in a community that has been built especially for them. I cannot even begin to imagine what kids who are bullied feel like or go through on a daily basis but I would want them to know that they are not alone and they must be unafraid to speak up, and if they can’t I have great belief in our youth so much that I believe that will be their voice.
Me : Yes, very true… Now the last one – after the lockdown ends, which film will we see you next in?
AJ : An extremely special film that I cannot speak about just as yet, but all I can say is that it’s a one of a kind roller coaster ride made to entertain all audiences.
Me : Wow! Sounds exciting!! Thank you so much Aadar for the time again and all the best for your upcoming film…. Stay safe and Stay well!!!
