Read on for the short conversation I had with her….

Me – Hi Shibani, Thank you so much for sparing the time to speak with me. what have you been doing during the Lockdown and after?

SK – Hi Anirudh, during the Lock down I have been busy making new songs, doing digital concerts,  webinars and also practicing yoga and meditation. I have created a song with a message #coronakohaiharana and just released my brand new single #Lootle Mazaa… I also started a series on Instagram called #Gupshup w shibanikashyap..

Me – Whoa! You’ve really been busy!! Now the 2nd one – If you hadn’t been an actor, what would you be?

SK – If I had not been a singer I would have been an Interior Designer!

Me – That’s an interesting choice! Amongst all your songs, which one is your most favorite performance?

SK – Hmmm, my personal favorite song of mine till date is SAJNA AA BHI JAA!

Me – Yeah, that’s a fabulous one! Now going back into your past, you were part of a band called Black Slade in Delhi, what was that like and what do you think ails the indie music movement in India?

SK – Yes, long time back….Black Slade was a pop rock band I was part of in my college days, I learnt a lot about world music and performing live thanks to this band! Indie music as in non film independent music is surely growing in leaps and bounds but there’s still a long way to go before we can become global…

Me – Yes, that’s true but we’re definitely getting there… Now the next one, in life, what makes you smile and what scares you the most?

SK – Music always makes me smile and betrayal scares me the most….

Me – True, betrayal can be such an ugly thing….now, for a fun one! If you ever got stranded on a remote island, and you could choose 5 items to have with you, which ones would they be?

SK – Well, if I got stranded on a remote island I would surely want the following:

 My guitar

 My phone

 Yoga mat

 A good face wash

 Sunblock

 Lip balm

Me – Hmmm, interesting choices, I must say…on a serious note, do you think it’s important to have a Godfather in Bollywood to make it big?

SK – Yes absolutely its important to have a godfather in bollywood to make it big,  otherwise its a huge struggle..

Well, that wraps it up for the time being Shibani! It was such a pleasure having this conversation with you…All the best to you going ahead – Stay Safe & Stay Well!!

That’s it for now folks! Keep watching this space for more such conversations!!
